Maniago, the "city of cutlery", consists of 12,000 inhabitants, located near the Prealpi Carniche, 100 km north-east of Venice, which in the ninth century used our timber and our blades for its arsenals. In fact, it dates back to 1400 the first signs of what will be, for Maniago, an industrial production with the development of the first "battiferri" where to produce in an organized way the articles for agriculture, axes and axes, chisels and swords.
